You can check the audio book out of your local public library and rip it onto your ipod. Then, once you’ve listened to it, you can delete it and return the CDs to the library, since you were too cheap to pay for it and keep it.

I just heard this morning that the movie will be pushed back until next summer (bummer). I’m hoping it isn’t the same for the game, I need something to hold me until the movie.
Alright people, I wanted something more detailed. Like if anyone had a date. I can assume that it will come out close to the movie too.

Yeah, generally the games are released at the same time as the movie. Apparently the official website for the game says that the release date will be July 17, 2009.

Find one you like online and look at the manufacturers web site and then see if they have a list of stockists, if they do you may find a shop near you.

I want to buy a high-quality replica wand (not sure whose yet) but I’m not willing to pay more than $40-50. Does anyone know of any such stores? A few different options would be nice to compare quality, prices, etc. I tried a google search but I have no idea whether the sites I found are reliable or not, and I am not going to waste that much money.
To prettypenny:

none of those URLs work.

In case you didn’t see it, prettypenny changed the URLs in her answer to ones that work. However, I’m guessing she never actually purchased from those sites, since she didn’t say anything about their reliability. Meanwhile, a friend of mine has bought from all three sites and was pleased with both the quality of the wands she bought and the service from those sites. Also, I’ve bought from the the third site listed and was pleased, and both my friend and I have heard rave reviews from many previous customers of the first two sites (the last one, while good, isn’t as well-known, therefore I only have my friend’s/my own experience to go by).

If they are, are they roughly based on the books? Or are they very similar, like some minor details are different. The book I have to read is the first Harry potter book which is : Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone. However I want to save some time, I have already watched the movie, and I have to write a short summary about the book.

In conclusion

If I already watched the movie, but haven’t read the book. Will I be able to write a good summary about the book?

Honestly, the first book is probably the only one that is remotely close to the movie. I wouldn’t base your summary on just the movie though. The major plot idea is the same, however there are differences. The books are really good and worth the read. I watched the movies (1 and 2) before I read any of the books ( I waited til they were all out). I’ve been surprised how different some of the aspects of the movies seem to be.
